  9. The “Merry Mistletoe”

The “Merry Mistletoe” cocktail (and mocktail)

Have you planned out your holiday cocktail and mocktail menu yet? If not, I’ve got your new favorite right here!

I love having pretty, festive drinks around the holidays and don’t want anyone to feel left out. So this recipe can easily be made alcoholic if you want, but the standard recipe is a yummy, #whole30approved mocktail. These have always been a huge hit at my yearly holiday party, so I know you are going to love it too!

Be well, stay real — Rach

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. 100% pure cranberry juice (read the label to ensure it’s not “from concentrate”)

  • Freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 lime

  • 6 oz. sparkling water (I used Bubly water cranberry and lime flavors)

  • Handful of ice

  • Garnish with a slice of lime and handful of fresh cranberries

  • To make alcoholic: Add 2 oz. vodka, tequila, or rum or substitute sparkling water for champagne.

Directions

  1. Add cranberry juice and fresh squeezed lime juice (and liquor, if using) to a wine glass or highball glass and give it a stir.

  2. Add ice, garnish, and then top with sparkling water (or champagne).

  3. Sit by your Christmas tree or fireplace and enjoy!
